Bosch’s new lightweight SX drive unit and 400Wh battery save precious grammes but are still capable of serving up 55Nm of torque assistance, so that’s a good start. Throw in the ultralight C:68X® carbon chassis, E13 Race carbon cranks, Newmen Advanced SL A.30 carbon wheels and Maxxis Rekon and Rekon Race 2.4in tyres, and things are looking even better. A Fox 34 Factory Grip2 fork and Float Factory shock keep everything planted and stable. Building an ultralight Bosch-powered full-suspension bike isn’t easy. That’s why the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X frame makes use of our most advanced C:68X® carbon material, for maximum possible strength and stiffness with the lowest possible weight. The 400Wh battery is incorporated into the down tube, as close to the new, lightweight Bosch SX motor as possible to improve handling, and the frame is PowerMore-ready for a 250Wh range boost with the optional battery pack. Internal cable routing complements the frame’s sleek silhouette and there’s a lightweight direct mount chain guide. With a UDH gear hanger and angle adjustable headset so you can tweak the handling to suit your riding style, it’s got everything you need for fast-paced trail riding.
Bosch SX Battery Integration
Bosch SX technology incorporates a new, lighter and more configurable battery setup. To make the most of the weight saving, we’ve integrated the new battery fully into the down tube. This means we can position it optimally for the best weight distribution and handling, as well as saving more weight by building a down tube that’s precisely the right size to fit, and without the need for an access hatch. And the Power More option means you can add an additional 250Wh battery quickly and simply, for extra range. It’s the best of both worlds.
Adjustable Headset Angle
When you’re harnessing gravity, the trail is challenging and every second counts, the geometry of your CUBE is a critical component. That’s why our adjustable headset allows you to tweak head angle, so you can set your bike up just the way you like it. A little slacker for more stability, or a little steeper for better agility. C:68X Carbon
Combining all our expertise from carbon frame building into the ultimate material, C:68X® carbon uses the optimum blend of fibre and nano particle-infused resin. Precision Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing means we can avoid bonded sleeves or inserts, too. It’s the new benchmark for light, stiff and strong.
Efficient Trail Control
Our Efficient Trail Control series works in the background so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. A low leverage ratio and linear compression rate are the technical way of saying that these bikes are very sensitive to trail obstacles, whilst remaining insensitive to pedal-induced bob and giving a full range of travel.
